Haun Saussy is University Professor at the University of Chicago, teaching in comparative literature, East Asian languages and civilizations, and social thought. He often translates from French and Chinese, less frequently (but enthusiastically) from Italian. Among his books are The Problem of a Chinese Aesthetic (1993), Great Walls of Discourse (2001), The Ethnography of Rhythm (2016), Translation as Citation (2018), and Are We Comparing Yet? (2019).
